The mission of the Bee Ridge Presbyterian Church is to proclaim the Gospel of the Lord, Jesus Christ, by sharing ourselves and our resources:

...in the church through worship, fellowship, music, teaching and compassionate care;

...in the community through understanding, forgiveness, concern and care;

...in the world by promoting God's peace and understanding.

Our Vision:

"Know Jesus, Make Jesus Known"

The Grapevine

“Roaming Thru Romans” is the title of the new Sunday School study that Dr. Kling will be leading in the Bee Ridge Presbyterian Church Parlor each Sunday from 9:45-10:30 am. Adults of all ages are invited to attend this fun and informative Bible Study. You will be welcomed with warm fellowship, relaxed discussion, and practical application of the Bible to every day life. The Book of Romans is one of the great New Testament Books that focuses on God’s gift of salvation through faith in Jesus. The next few weeks will be a great time to give this class a try! No previous Sunday School experience is necessary!

PARKING (LOT LIGHTS) PLEA

*    The Business Committee and Session have recommended we take advantage of FPL's program to install, at no cost, directional parking lot lighting:

*2 new lights on pole east of LWC:
*
1 directional light facing south to light the side (& back?) of LWC and the partial back of Albritton Center, including the parking lot in between.
*
1 directional light facing north to light the parking lot closer to MS. Monthly cost ~ $25/light.
*1 upgrade of down-light by Keys Hall - directional light towards KH.
Monthly cost ~ $25 (current down-light cost is $14/mo.)

The 2 in the median may be replaced with directional lights - to be determined after the above work is done.
They are already costing us $25/light, so there would be no added expense.
One year minimum contract is required. FPL maintains the lights and their on/off timing.
*
Our trees would need a volunteer to prune year-round in order not to block the lights.
Estimated extra yearly expense: $800 - If you think it is worthwhile and would like to contribute to fund, please contact any Session or Business Cmte. member.

Thank you, Debye Bernard, Acting Clerk, 2/28/12 Minutes
